How to Teach Safe Bicycling to Kids and BIKE RODEO FREE!

FREE EVENT BUT PLEASE REGISTER! This "Train the Trainer" clinic (12-1:30) sets out to offer people the skills they need to teach safe cycling techniques to children. This class is set up for adults who are interested in...

Learning to develop and organize a successful child bicycle safety event in your community.
Educating themselves around how children differ from adults as riders and how their crashes also differ.
Understanding safe riding tips and how to avoid the most common crashes between youth and people driving.
Experiencing hands-on hazard identification and how to reduce risk.
The clinic will be abridged for families who are interested in participating in the youth rodeo that same day from 2:00pm to 3:30pm.

Bicycle rodeos are a great way for kids to learn cycling safety and skills in a fun, supportive, and interactive environment.

Parents and caretakers!

Youth participants are welcome to join edutainment activities provided by Bike Fed staff during adult learning portion (12-1:30)
or just for the rodeo (2-3:30pm)
