Nṛsiṁha Caturdaśī is the divine appearance day of Lord Nrsimhadeva, observed on the 14th day (Chaturdashi) of the bright lunar fortnight (Shukla Paksha) in the month of Vaisakha (April–May). On this day, Lord Vishnu appeared in his fierce half-man, half-lion form—Nṛsiṁha—to protect His devotee Prahlāda Mahārāja and to annihilate the demon Hiraṇyakaśipu.

ito nṛsiṁhaḥ parato nṛsiṁho
yato yato yāmi tato nṛsiṁhaḥ
bahir nṛsiṁho hṛdaye nṛsiṁho
nṛsiṁham ādiṁ śaraṇaṁ prapadye

"Lord Nṛsiṁha is here, and also there. Wherever I go, there is Lord Nṛsiṁha. He is within the heart and outside as well. I surrender unto the original Lord Nṛsiṁha, the supreme shelter." - SB 7.9.1
