A challenge for avid road climbers: 6 cycling days with +12,000m positive climb, including Transfăgărășan, Transalpina, Vâlcan, Obrșia Lotrului, and Păltiniș.
The experience is based on our article on Epic Road Rides platform, which included Romania as a destination for avid roadies.
Including one night in Sibiu - one of the most beautiful cities in Romania, one night in the UNESCO World Heritage area of Horezu and one night in Curtea de Arges, a unique historical place of Romania.
The journey starts in Curtea de Arges - first capital city of Valahia, and ends in Târgoviște - the second Valachian capital.

Day 1 (June 23rd) - Transfăgărășan Experience: cycling from Curtea de Arges to Avrig

Day 2 (June 24th) -Cycling around Sibiu and climb to Păltiniș
Overnight in Sibiu

Day 3 (June 25th) – across Transalpina road (140 km)
Cycling from Sibiu to Novaci. Transfer from Novaci to Horezu

Day 4 (June 26th) – Vâlcan Pass, with a bit of gravel

Overnight in Petroșani
Day 5 (June 27th) - Petroșani to Brezoi, across Parâng Mountain

Transfer to Curtea de Argeș
Day 6 (Jun 28th) - Curtea de Argeș - Câmpulung - Târgoviște
