Join us, **and bring a friend**, for a summer celebration at the *Churnin’ & Celebratin’ 175 Years of Faith* All Community Celebration, marking the 175th anniversary of First Baptist Church Quitman! This family-friendly event offers fellowship, fun, and sweet memories for all ages.
**Event Details**:
* **Date**: Saturday, August 2, 2025
* **Time**: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
* **Location**: Family Life Center - First Baptist Church, Quitman, TX
**Highlights**:
* **Ice Cream Contest**: Bring your homemade ice cream (prepared before arriving) to compete for prizes in Best Flavor, Creamiest Texture, and Most Creative Recipe, judged by local ministers. Drop off entries by 4:10 PM for judging, followed by community tasting at 4:30 PM.
* **Watermelon**: Enjoy refreshing, pre-sliced watermelon served at 4:30 PM, perfect for a summer day.
* **Games & Activities**: Have fun with corn hole tournaments, gaga ball, 9-square, horseshoes, sack races, face painting, and a “175 Years of Faith” themed photo booth.
* **Kids Bounce House**: Two hours of fun for kids in a bounce house setup on the front lawn.
* **Music & Worship**: Enjoy a local contemporary Christian band throughout the afternoon and be entertained by a barbershop quartet’s hymns and fun songs.
* **Church History**: Explore the Church's legacy through a history video that will be on continuous display in the gym.
