On August 29, 2025, the Quinlan Independent School District (QISD) will host a fundraiser during the Quinlan Ford vs. Brownsboro football game to honor the Lytal family and support the Kellyanne Elizabeth Lytal Memorial Foundation.
Kellyanne Elizabeth Lytal, the great-great-great-granddaughter of Quinlan community pillars Hobart B. and Juanita Lytal, was tragically lost in the Hill Country flood disaster on July 4, 2025. Her ancestors were instrumental in the community for nearly a century, with Hobart B. Lytal being known as "Mr. Quinlan" and his wife, Juanita, dedicating 37 years to teaching. Their son, Hobart Wade Lytal, went on to have an exemplary coaching career that impacted thousands of young lives throughout Texas. The family's legacy of service and dedication to athletics is a cornerstone of the Quinlan community. For more than 50 years, student-athletes in Quinlan ISD have won Lytal Awards and scholarships to further their education. The Quinlan community is welcoming the Brownsboro community to join us in a combined fundraising effort to help support the memorial of one of the victims of the disaster, which impacted all of Texas.
To honor Kellyanne and the Lytal family's servant hearts and enduring influence, donation jars and signs will be placed at the home and visitor entrances, as well as at concession stands. All funds collected will be donated to Kellyanne’s Memorial Foundation, which supports philanthropic efforts reflecting Kellyanne's kind spirit. By contributing, both Quinlan ISD and Brownsboro ISD fans can help support one of the tragic young flood victims in the Hill Country this summer and ensure that her legacy, like that of her family, continues to shine brightly for generations to come.
