Be awed and amazed by photographs of migratory and backyard birds in Massachusetts. Massachusetts is a great state for bird watching. Many species can easily be observed singing, displaying openly, and collecting materials for building nests. This illustrated lecture will feature birds that are commonly seen throughout Eastern Massachusetts and give you a glimpse into the secret life of our amazing birds.
About the presenter: Sean Kent is the Arts and Nature Education Manager for Mass Audubon , where he focuses on connecting people to nature by creating and experiencing art. Sean has over 25 years of experience in ecological research and environmental and art education. Sean is a field biologist, naturalist, and an accomplished photographer, who has conducted research on the monarch butterfly, native plant species, and wild bees in Massachusetts - Boston Harbor Islands, Elizabeth Islands (Naushon, Cutthunk, and Penikese), Belize, New Mexico, and Arizona. Sean has a M.S. in Biology from Northeastern University and a B.A. in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross. He lives in Mansfield with his three daughters and wife.
