Info: The event starts promptly at 1pm, though we ask that you plan to arrive by 12:30pm to find parking, sign forms, and have everything you need ready for digging. The event officially ends at 4:30pm and everyone should be off the beach no later than 4:00pm to avoid getting stranded by the incoming tide.
What we’ll cover:
This event includes instruction and demonstrations from WA Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) shellfish biologists and time for you to harvest clams and oysters with instructors available to answer questions. You will learn about several different kinds of clams and where to find them, harvesting regulations, safety guidelines and more.
