Join us at the Sunset on August 21, 22 & 23 at 8PM for the beautifully personal and moving Breastless: Revisioned, written and performed by Emma Jarrett.
In riveting, intimate voice, Emma uses vulnerable detail, wit and honesty to illustrate her experience of dis-ease and its effect on body, mind, relationship, and sense of self.
This presentation of Breastless represents seven years of development since its creation as part of The Exploration Series at The Sunset Theatre in 2018 and 2019. The story is also now visually enhanced by collaboration with Quesnel-based artist, Sarah Guest.
Breastless is a poetic and poignant story of culture’s impact on womanhood, told through the lens of breast cancer diagnosis. This far-too-common story is told in a breathtakingly beautiful manner; at times, heartwarmingly humorous, even within the sorrows and shocks. Emma’s ability to weave a path through the darkness and then guide us back into the light is a testament to her resilience as a woman and the indelible mark she is leaving as an artist.

Emma Jarrett is a writer, mother, friend, and advocate for women. Her mission is to amplify the much-needed feminine, creative voice in us all. Emma encourages the practice of writing for our own wellness, and to risk telling stories from our hearts so we might listen, connect, and heal from isolation as we heal our culture.
