Surfski - Have a go! (Queenstown)

Information:
What?
These surf ski have-a-go sessions are for proficient paddlers to come along and try this great sport of downwind paddling. The SLMC has 8 beginner surf skis available to try. We'll do a safety briefing and then jump on water to learn how to remount the skis, then after getting dry gear on, we'll head up-wind and back down-wind in the narrows to test out the skis.
When and where?
The session will be between 2pm-4pm on Saturday 11 October at Park St, Queenstown. You will paddle for around 45 minutes only (we will run two sessions within this time if we have more paddlers)
Who and how much?
Run by the SLMC Crew; Alex, Rich and Grant and FREE for members!
What do I need to bring?
Some neoprene gear if you have it (a westsuit is not a bad idea for the remounts) or just very warm paddle clothes (2 sets), a towel and warm clothes for afterwards, your PFD & paddle. We will provide the surf ski and the leg leash.
(Event is weather dependent and may be postponed in the case of high winds)
