The team at Urban Planning and Design Limited invite Queenstown Lakes short-term visitor accommodation (STVA) hosts to take part in an in-person discussion about the accommodation environment and the factors that influence the availability of properties in the long-term rental market.
The events are being run with funding from QLDC and the insights gathered will help inform future planning and policy discussions on housing and visitor accommodation in the district.
Types of STVA include:
- Residential Visitor Accommodation: whole dwellings rented out to short-term paying guests where the owner/occupier is not present
- Homestay: rooms or self-contained flats in a property rented out to short-term paying guests where the owner/occupier also resides
- Visitor Accommodation: commercial campgrounds, hotels, motels, backpackers, managed apartments, etc
