Q2 Caregiver Respite

Caregivers can enjoy a relaxing head and shoulder massage at our Caregiver Respite. Led by a group of qualified, visually-handicapped masseurs from the Singapore Association from the Visually Handicapped’s Mobile Massage Team. After the massage, play fun games and bond with fellow caregivers.

Members can enjoy a creative dot painting workshop with BeesyHands instructor, Joyce. Members will be accompanied by Salt & Light volunteers while caregivers enjoy their respite. Light refreshments will be provided for members and caregivers.

IMPORTANT

• Only one caregiver for the massage due to limited capacity. (Caregiver can be parent/sibling/helper)
• Only one canvas zipped pouch per member.
• Members can only be accompanied by 1 caregiver except for members’ who require 2 caregivers’ assistance.

The Mobile Massage Team or MMT is an initiative by SAVH to facilitate the provision of massage services (Head & Shoulder Massage, Foot Reflexology and Full Body Non-Oil Massage) by a group of qualified, visually-handicapped masseurs at SAVH. As the blind masseurs put into practice the acquired skills to remain employable, earn their living, gain self-reliance and independence and live with dignity, by supporting them contributes towards a more inclusive society.

BeesyHands believes in providing hands-on learning experiences to the young and old beyond their material pursuits and learning life skills with our hands for better well-being. There is also therapeutic value in the crafts BeesyHands offers.
