What really makes a home future-ready?
[spoiler: it’s not just throwing on some solar panels and hoping for the best]
For August Green Drinks, we’re getting stuck into the real stuff, like what it actually takes to design and build homes that are resilient, healthy, and a total pleasure to live in!
We’ve got two absolute legends lined up for the night:
🏡 Carolin Friese is an award-winning designer and Passive House advocate and will show us how compact, intentional spaces and biophilic design can lead to homes that are energy-efficient and beautiful.
🏡 Denise Martin is a building scientist and blower door queen who will take us behind the scenes of ventilation, airtightness and why these often-misunderstood tools are actually your best mates when it comes to indoor comfort.
Whether you're building, renovating, renting, or just wondering why your house always feels damp and sad in winter - this night’s for you!
This isn’t just a design talk. It’s a cosy, down-to-earth evening full of practical takeaways, myth-busting, and good chat about how we can create homes that actually suit our wonderfully unique Queenstown climate!
🥂 Nibbles provided (thanks Crowne Plaza!) and a cash bar is on hand for you to grab a drink.
Tickets are limited, so grab a friend, and come hang out with fellow excellent people for a warm, relaxed evening of inspo and insight.
Proudly supported by the Waste Minimisation team at QLDC and Crowne Plaza Queenstown.
