Who Am I Really? A Celebration of Self

This Pride, we'll be honoring the you, you are inside. We invite you to define yourself as we celebrate, imagine, and manifest our truest self through the joy of self-portraiture. This mixed media event will allow you to paint, draw, collage, and mix and match all sorts of materials needed to let the true you shine!

This is not about realism. This is not about "being good at art". This is about claiming and calling into being the you, you are inside. Maybe that you is reflected on the outside and maybe it isn't...yet. But the purpose of this night is to take control of your identity and showcase who you are proudly and unapologetically. Let your imagination and creativity soar in a safe space as we embrace queer joy🌈🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈.

There will be a brief lesson at the start of the night by our resident artist to give examples on creative self-portrait possibilities, the basics of capturing the face, and tips on using the various mediums provided. Shape a beard with pipe cleaners, paint a rainbow for eyes, cut out stars for cheeks, and just in every way throw out the rule book on who you are supposed to be. And settle into who you see yourself to be. Together let's discover the essence of Who Am I Really!

Sliding Scale: $10-$20

To help in covering the cost of the space and materials we ask, if you are able, to pay along the higher end of the scale. Only if you are able! However, everything and anything is welcome. We can't wait to celebrate with you.
