What is Thai bodywork? It's as if someone was doing yoga to you! The practitioner moves you through yoga-like stretches, and applies pressure through palms, forearms, elbows, knees, sometimes even feet. My approach to Thai bodywork is somatic and meditative, tuning in deeply with the receiver and listening to their body to create a space where they can feel held and safe, come home to themselves, and begin to heal.
Glo Liu is a Thai bodywork practitioner, yoga teacher, and student of acupuncture. She studied under and received her Somatic Thai Yoga certification from Sarah Seely of Thai Brooklyn, and is currently pursuing her Masters of Acupuncture at Pacific College in New York.
