Elias Meister, Leo Genovese, & Kenny Wollesen

German guitarist Elias Meister brings a stellar trio to Dada. Performing original music the trio of these accomplished musicians blurs the lines between jazz, rock, improvised music and a simple, heartfelt song. Using the vehicle of a song they explore new, undiscovered soundscapes and worlds. This will be a special evening indeed.

Guitarist Elias Meister is equally at home playing sensitive Jazz or powerful Rock, Electronic Music or Hip Hop. He leads his own Jazz formations including the trio Spacepilot and is part of the live Techno and House collective N/UM, which has played all over the US, Mexico and Europe. He is a member of the touring band of rap-artist Residente (the musician with the most Latin Grammy wins in history), with whom he played massive stages including Radio City Hall, Austin City Limits and stadium tours all over the world. He co-wrote and played guitar on the song 'Quiero Ser Baladista' (feat. Ricky Martin), that was part of the Grammy-winning album 'Las Letras Ya No Importan'.

Elias Meister's work has been lauded by the international press including a 4-star Downbeat review calling his album 'Playful & Daring'.

Keyboardist Leo Genovese from Argentina is a powerhouse in the jazz, improvised music and rock scenes. He has performed and toured with the Wayne Shorter, Joe Lovano, Esperanza Spalding, Milton Nascimento and many more. Like Mr. Meister he is a touring member or the Residente band and is also touring with the Mars Volta, bringing his positive energy, virtuosity and strong foundation in folkloric roots to every corner of the world. He won the Grammy for Best Improvised Jazz Solo in 2024.

Drummer and percussionist Kenny Wollesen has a unique style of drumming expanding a soulful universe for the listener. He builds his own percussion instruments called out of carefully sourced and found objects. He has been part of Bill Frisell's trio for many years and performed with Tom Waits, Norah Jones, John Zorn, Julian Lage, Donny McCaslin and many more.
