Arya Rao

Arya Rao is an Indian-Australian recording artist and performer based in Sydney. Recognized for her atmospheric production, emotionally charged vocals, and vivid storytelling, her work explores themes of identity, grief, and intimacy. She began her musical journey at the age of four and has performed across Los Angeles and Sydney, crafting a genre-fluid sound that merges classical training with a contemporary edge.
Her debut EP Cry Love (2024) garnered critical acclaim from indie outlets such as Illustrate Magazine, We Write About Music, and Broken8Records, while also amassing over 70 playlist placements across major streaming platforms, building strong momentum in the independent music scene.
