This public session is for Vermonters impacted by state systems - past or present. By attending as a Truth-Teller, you will be in a room with care team members, community, and people listening with open hearts. This is a supported, public space to speak your truth. You will have time to prepare, support before and after, and a full choice over how you show up. Help uncover harm, reclaim healing, and shape the future.
By attending as a witness, you will listen to the truths of individuals who have been harmed by state systems, in their lifetimes or past generations. Be a part of collective healing and shared memory to put Vermont on a roadmap to repair. Help to shift culture through presence and care. Attend this public truth-telling session as a witness, and share stories and your reflections with your network.
The theme for this session is Mobility and Access. Truths will be related to, in any number of ways, topics including:
- Physical barriers to spaces or services
- Transportation challenges
- Denial of accommodations
- Any other impacts
