Learn How to Crochet Part 1

Want to learn how to crochet? Join us this fall as we present a series of crochet workshops. The first three workshops will be learning basic techniques. Later workshops will be based on the interest of the participants.

During this first workshop we discuss different types of yarns. You'll learn basic stitches like chain, slip, single, and double crochet; starting your base row; and turning techniques.

Hooks and yarn will be provided so you can practice the stitches.

The second workshop (Thursday, October 23rd) will entail learning additional stitches, as well as, understanding pattern directions and symbols. A basic knowledge of starting a base row and turning would be helpful.

The third workshop (Thursday, November 6th) will be how to create a basic granny square. Knowledge of double crochet will be helpful. We will also learn joining techniques for assembling blocks.

Registration is required for each workshop. Space is limited to 12. Registration opens on September 25. Geared towards ages 10+.
