One of the most dynamic and in-demand mandolinists in acoustic music today, Jacob Jolliff brings his blazing technique and inventive spirit to Lake Purdys for a special summer evening of bluegrass brilliance.
Jacob’s musical journey began at age 7 in Oregon and led him to a full scholarship at Berklee College of Music, where he studied under mandolin legend John McGann. He’s since earned national recognition as the 2012 National Mandolin Champion, toured internationally with Joy Kills Sorrow, and spent five years performing with Yonder Mountain String Band.
In 2022, Jacob joined Béla Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart tour alongside some of bluegrass’s finest pickers, and he now leads The Jacob Jolliff Band, known for pushing the boundaries of bluegrass with virtuosic instrumental tunes and powerful vocal numbers. Their most recent album, Instrumentals Vol. 2: Mandolin Mysteries, released in May 2024, showcases Jacob's continued evolution as a composer and performer.
Join us for an unforgettable night of masterful mandolin, soulful string work, and summer evening magic with one of bluegrass’s most exciting talents — this one’s not to be missed!
