Bar Takeover - Parallax, Old Westminster, & Quartzwood
Parallax (Charlottesville, VA): The Parallax Project is a Virginia-based winemaking venture by Lance Lemon and Reggie Leonard. The project focuses on creating unique wines from local grapes, exploring the contrast between traditional and hybrid grapes. Both Lance and Reggie have been involved in the Virginia wine industry for years in as varied roles as you can imagine - wine shop owners, official ambassadors, festival organizers, and, with Parallax, winemakers. Their previous Takeover was a BLAST and we are pumped to invite them back.
Old Westminster (Westminster, MD): Maryland-grown grapes, made with minimal intervention. Old Westminster has broken the mold of East Coast winemaking, approaching their wines with sustainable, forward-looking methodology. They've done an outstanding job introducing so many to pet nats, canned wines, piquettes, and so much more. We are excited to welcome them for their first visit.
Quartzwood (Loudon County, VA): Ben and Sarah produce small-batch, intentional wines from vineyards planted or managed by Ben within a 10-mile radius of Quartzwood. They focus on varietals or hybrids they feel suit their climate and mid-Atlantic terroir. Quartzwood produces the best noiret pet nat you've ever had.
$30 at the door / $25 in advance (includes full tasting)
Wines will be available for purchase by the bottle while supplies last. Come early! Stay late!
