October 2025 Shell Creek Water Plant Tour

During a visit to the Shell Creek treatment facilities, participants will explore the Shell Creek reservoir, Hendrickson dam, Shell Creek Surface Water Treatment Plant, and the Shell Creek Reverse Osmosis Plant. This tour provides the opportunity to see our treatment plant operators in action and understand how water is produced and distributed within our community.

Please note:

• This is a walking tour, predominantly outdoors.
• The tour may be canceled in case of inclement weather.
• Tour spots are extremely limited.
• Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Closed toe shoes required - No sandals, flip-flops, high heels or shoes with narrow heels.
• Hats, sunglasses, and a water bottle are recommended.

Parking

The Water Treatment Plant is located at 38100 Washington Loop Road. When coming from the west, the plant is 1.8 miles from the turn at US17 and Washington Loop Road.

Access and parking is at Gate 2.

Please be aware that the tour may be canceled under certain circumstances. These include, but are not limited to, inclement weather conditions, safety concerns, facility maintenance, or unforeseen emergencies.

In the event of a cancellation, ticket holders will be notified as soon as possible and will be offered tickets for the next available tour. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
