It’s time for September’s service event: our International Coastal Cleanup on Saturday, September 20. We’ll meet at Ponce Park (Pavilion) — 3400 Ponce de Leon Parkway, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 — from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. We’ll be working with the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup to remove debris, collect data as citizen scientists, and help protect our waterways for people and wildlife.
I’ve helped with this in the past but will not be able to attend this year— it’s a lot of fun, other groups join us, and it’s a great way to connect with the community.
Why join?
– Remove hurricane and everyday debris from our shoreline and waterways
- Collect data that helps change policy worldwide
– Connect with neighbors and partner groups while serving the environment
