This is a 5 week beginner wheel class. This is beginner to intermediate friendly as we will meet you where your skill level is. We will cover the basics of wheel throwing, centering, vessels, trimming and glazing.
Once you complete a 5 week class, you are able to attend open studio- 3 days a week to use the studio and equipment for $25/day.
Meeting Dates: weekly on SUNDAYS 10:30-12:30pm 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8
Week 1: Centering & wedging clay preparing clay balls
Week 2: Centering & Small 1lb Cylinders
Week 3: Cylinders/vessels, Trimming
Week 4: Throwing more weight, larger cylinders
Week 5: Glazing, how to use a hydrometer, types of glaze applications
You will get to keep and fire up to 12 pieces.
