Wheel Throwing Lessons

Always wanted to try throwing on the wheel or just want to build on what you already know? This is the pottery class for you! Single or multiple sessions available. $30 per 2.5- hour lesson! Wednesdays 1pm-3:30pm with our instructor Sarah Christensen.
Class will focus on the basic forms and techniques of wheel throwing, tailored towards student interests. This is an all-levels class that focuses on gaining or refreshing the essential skills necessary to work successfully on the wheel. Expect to cover clay preparation, cylinders, bowls, attachments, trimming, and surface decoration using slips, underglazes, and glazes. All ability levels are welcome. Students are encouraged to bring their own ideas and topics they would like to explore.
This is an ongoing class that welcomes new and return students as their schedule allows.
Clay is NOT included in the class price. You can purchase a bag of clay online or in person; we sell 25 lb bags of BMX clay for $20 plus tax. (Item will show as option to add-on to cart)
Class enrollment typically closes at 3pm the Saturday before each lesson, but if we have students enrolled and there are still seats open, you are welcome to enroll after that deadline date! Call us with any questions! 719-295-7200.
