Understanding a pattern

Are you daunted by commercial dressmaking patterns

In this workshop we will teach you how to understand a pattern from the back page through to cutting it out.

You will learn what all the symbols mean and how to lay out your pattern pieces on your fabric.

There is no actual sewing involved however you will leave with the knowledge of how to start your dressmaking journey using a commercial pattern.

Skill level: Beginner
