On August 15, 2025, TTO is coming to Provincetown for the first time in years! Please join us for an early evening gathering where you’ll get to know our work, our artists, and our vision while connecting with new and old friends!

Enjoy beer, wine, and light bites catered by Bespoke Soirees, and see drag and spoken word performances from TTO artists (performers to be announced)! You’ll hear from Executive Director Giselle Byrd in a fireside chat and learn more about TTO’s innovative productions, youth programming, and activism in the fight against oppression. TTO was born in a moment of profound crisis for our community and we began by using art to speak our community’s truth and fight oppression. Thirty-six years later, we are still here. We will not be erased. We will continue to use our art to fight oppression and fight for liberation. Now is the time for us to join forces with community members, allies, and friends across all sectors, to stand up against the forces of erasure and violence that have been emboldened and enacted by the current federal government.
The Theater Offensive is a social change organization focused on queer and trans people of color (QTPOC) and their allies that uses theater and the creative process as cultural organizing tools. Our mission is to present liberating art by, for, and about QTPOC that transcends artistic boundaries, celebrates cultural abundance, and dismantles oppression.
Since 1989, TTO has fostered groundbreaking new performance art by the next generation of queer and trans artists, empowered queer and trans teens via our True Colors: OUT Youth Performing Ensemble, and fought for liberation. From HIV/AIDS activism to joining with the ACLU to sue the National Endowment for the Arts following their implementation of the anti-”gender ideology” executive order in 2025, TTO knows the deep connection between the arts and the fight for liberation.
