Grand closing ceremony with Peter Donohoe 🎹 🇬🇧

Peter Donohoe is one of the most distinguished British pianists of his generation, acclaimed for his powerful performances and wide-ranging repertoire. He rose to international fame after winning the Silver Medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1982. Donohoe has performed with the world’s leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam, and all the major orchestras of the United Kingdom.

He has appeared on the most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. Renowned for his interpretations of the Romantic and 20th-century repertoire, he has recorded numerous acclaimed albums featuring works by Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Messiaen, and Beethoven. Donohoe is also a dedicated teacher and a jury member at international competitions. In 2010, he was awarded the title of CBE for his contribution to music.
