I'm one of six local community champions taking part in the Prince Albert Mocktail Challenge (representing RIVER VALLEY RESILIENCE RETREAT). It's all about supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince Albert and the Community Alcohol Strategy Steering Committee, and I'm really passionate about both causes.
My goal is to raise between $3,000 and $5,000 before the main event on Friday, November 15th, at the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club. That night, I'll be competing in a fun, alcohol-free showdown, mixing up my signature mocktail, "The Pink Flamingo," to earn some bragging rights and hopefully even more community support!
There are three titles up for grabs:
Top-Seller Bartender – For the person who serves the most mocktails on event night.
Drink of Choice Award – Judged on taste and presentation.
Mocktail Bartender Champion – Awarded to whoever raises the most donations before and during the event.
As Natasha Thomson, Development Coordinator of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince Albert, puts it, "This event is all about raising glasses — and raising support — to create healthy spaces and healthy relationships in our community. Proceeds from this event will help us provide mentorship to local kids who deserve guidance, encouragement, and opportunity.”
