In partnership with the City of Prince Albert, Beau ‘Lac’ Funeral Home is proud to sponsor this year’s Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, December 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Memorial Square, located outside City Hall in downtown Prince Albert.
This free, family-friendly event is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season and celebrate the spirit of community. Highlights of the evening include:
🎄 Tree Lighting at 7:00 p.m. – The main event will light up the big evergreen beside City Hall.
🎶 Caroling by the Prince Albert Children’s Choir – The beautiful voices of the choir will add festive cheer following the tree lighting.
🎅 Santa Letter Writing & Colouring – Children can write letters to Santa and enjoy free colouring inside the warm foyer of City Hall.
📸 Family Christmas Cheer Photo Op – The Optimist Club will set up a photo area featuring their winter wonderland characters, while All My Relations Creative Connections and Community Building Youth Futures (CBYF) volunteer to take photos for families.
🐎 Horse & Wagon Rides – Sponsored by the Prince Albert Downtown Business Improvement District (PADBID), families can hop on a ride and enjoy the scenic downtown area.
☕ Hot Chocolate & S’mores – Lake Country Co-op is generously providing hot chocolate, and the Prince Albert Firefighters will host a fire pit for marshmallow roasting and s’more making.
The square will be alive with holiday music before and after the tree lighting, providing a magical atmosphere for all to enjoy.
