Drawing from a complex heritage and nomadic upbringing, Vas Putter explores the human experience of displacement — both of people and cultural artefacts — while championing the forgotten, the discarded, and the silenced. Her tactile, textured pieces invite viewers to confront what is lost and rediscovered in society.
As an environmental and humanitarian artivist, Putter transforms waste into wonder — turning what is cast aside into something luminous and full of meaning.
