CarPark, Prestwick, United Kingdom
Taking the form of a group workshop, this creative conversation facilitated by Saffy Setohy and Claire Pencak (Clyde Bioregion Artists in Residence / Arran, Still Rising), will set off from Sannox Car Park at 10am.
As the tide comes in, we will explore the coastline around Sannox together, thinking about what sea level rise & coastal erosion, might mean for us and other species. There will be invitations for conversation, writing, drawing and moving along the way. This will be a 2.5 mile ‘out and back’ walk , along good footpaths and large stepping stones. The route can be previewed here: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/arran/north-sannox.shtml
Artists and makers in all manner of art forms including craft, visual, sonic, performance and writing are most welcome, as is anyone interested in thinking about climate change and creativity.
Bring yourself, suitable outdoor clothing, a pencil and notebook or sketchbook. There will be time for conversation with lunch for the last hour, at the Eco Savvy Cafe in Corrie and Sannox village hall. The donations for the lunch will be covered by the event organisers.
