Paddlejam: A Two-Day River Adventure in Eastern Kentucky

Get ready for an unforgettable weekend on the water! Paddlejam is a two-day paddling experience and community celebration that brings together kayakers, canoeists, and outdoor enthusiasts of all skill levels. Set in the scenic heart of Eastern Kentucky, this event pairs breathtaking river views with live music, cozy campfires, and good company.

Saturday | 2:00 PM StartDrop your kayak or canoe off at the Banner/Allen River Access Ramp, then head to the finish point behind Billy Ray’s. From there, we'll shuttle everyone back to the launch site to kick off an 8-mile paddle through a beautiful stretch of the river. Your journey ends back behind Billy Ray’s, where the evening comes alive with live music, campfires, and the option to camp out or stay at a nearby hotel.Note: Campers must bring their own tents and gear.

Sunday | 8:30 AM StartPark your vehicle at Combs Airport and catch a shuttle back to the start behind Billy Ray’s. From there, you'll paddle another 8 miles to Combs Airport. Feeling adventurous? Continue on for the full 16-mile route all the way to Paintsville.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing float, a lively festival atmosphere, or stunning Appalachian landscapes, Paddlejam delivers a perfect mix of adventure and mountain charm.

Important Note:If river levels are too low, we'll notify participants via social media and email. In that case, the event will be moved to Dewey Lake or Paintsville Lake.
