Many of us were appalled to see Lancashire County Council captured by Reform UK in the recent local elections. Reform is a racist party that threatens both our communities and the services that we rely on.
Following Reform’s victory, a group of local trade union activists, under the umbrella of the Lancashire Association of Trade Union Councils (LATUC), has organised a one day Conference to develop our response to Reform in Lancashire. The Conference will look at what drove the Reform vote, the nature of its supporters and what sort of challenges we can expect from a Reform council. We will also spend some time discussing what an alternative vision for Lancashire could look like and how trade unions can be at the heart of delivering that vision.
