Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA) – Community Canine Prep Class

This 6-week course is designed for teams who’ve already passed the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test and are ready to build stronger obedience in more distracting, real-world environments.

Each week, you and your dog will practice practical skills like walking calmly through crowds, ignoring food and other distractions, holding long-duration stays, and maintaining control around people and other dogs. The goal is to prepare for the AKC Community Canine (CGCA) title—showing your dog’s ability to behave reliably in everyday situations.

The CGCA test will be offered during the final class.
