Are you new to yoga? Would you like to move your body more? Or do you feel like you'd benefit from having some time to relax with a group of friendly people. Then join us @ Old School House Community Project in Huyton for a relaxing but thorough full body work out!
We flow with the grace of Hatha yoga & also move in a more traditional 'work out' style to improve our flexibility, strength & fitness.
- Optional use of hand weights (0.5kg or 1kg, or bring your own)
- £4 on the door
- Suitable for all ages & abilities, including 'new to yoga' &/or 'haven't exercised in a long time' - everyone is welcome.
As your facilitator I will take you through a gentle & mindful practice of yogic movement & breath work. We focus on bringing movement to our joints, strengthening & stretching our muscles, whilst cultivating a sense of peace & wellbeing.
Chair yoga is a fantastic practice for anyone but especially suited to people who would have difficulties in a traditional yoga class where the expectation is to use a mat on the floor. All movements can be adapted to suit everyones individual abilities & requirements to make the practice as supportive & enjoyable as possible for you.
Sessions are run in blocks where we build our familiarity around a core routine. After which we take a week to pause before starting up again with a new routine for the next block. You can start at any point within the block & all sessions are on a drop in basis.
