spIN Focus Saturday - Muddy Waters - Hard Again

For this edition of spIN Focus Saturday we will featuresa full play of Muddy Waters' album, Hard Again. This record is a powerful testament to the blues legend's enduring talent, raw energy, and his return to form in the 1970s. It's an essential album that is a masterclass in electric Chicago blues.

Produced by Johnny Winter, Hard Again crackles with a raw, no-nonsense energy. With Winter on guitar and a stellar backing band, Muddy's voice sounds as powerful and commanding as ever on classics like "Mannish Boy." This is a chance to hear a true blues icon at his best. Join us at The Listyning Room to experience this monumental record in its entirety on our high-end sound system.

The album will be played on The Listyning Room's world-class stereo system featuring high-end equipment by Audio Note, Klipsch, and Cambridge Audio.

spIN Focus is a shorter event at TLR. There is not an extended presentation or lead up, just a focused listen to this landmark album. There will be a brief introduction and then a full play through of the album. We open on Saturdays at 1:00 pm for Open Spin (BYO music) and record cleaning. The feature LP spins at 4:00pm.
