spIN Focus - Paul Simon - Graceland

This spIN Focus event features a full play of Paul Simon's landmark album, Graceland. The record is an undeniable masterpiece, fusing American songwriting with South African mbaqanga and is an essential listening experience for any music lover.

We'll pay tribute to the album's profound impact and incredible musicianship, highlighting its joyous rhythms and thought-provoking lyrics. From the infectious "You Can Call Me Al" to the intricate a cappella of "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes," Graceland is a testament to the power of collaboration and musical exploration. Join us at The Listyning Room to hear this Grammy-winning album in all its glory.

The album will be played on The Listyning Room's world-class stereo system featuring high-end equipment by Audio Note, Klipsch, and Cambridge Audio.

spIN Focus is different from many of our other events, just a brief intro and then a focused listen to this landmark album. Doors open 6:30pm, the album starts at 7:00pm.

$10 Donation supports Center For Recorded Music 501(c)(3) and includes admission, complimentary snacks and beverages including soft drinks, flavored waters, and 1 complimentary adult beverages from a great selection of beer, wine, mixed drinks, and NA options.
