Tabletop Wargames from Rome to Star Wars! Join us at the League of Ancients at the Caulfield RSL in Elsternwick, Melbourne on 1 February 2026 where you will be able to join in and play four to five short form wargames to get a flavour of this wonderful hobby. Non-members and beginners welcome. The event will be using the Command & Colours game system. There will be 8 tables with a new game starting every at 60 to 90 minutes from 10.30.
You will be able to choose a selection of the following games:
* Ancients - 28mm Late Romans vs Goths
* Medieval - 15mm Battle of the Field of Blood 1119
* Samurai Battles - 15mm clash to control Japan in the 16th Cent.
* Napoleonic - 20mm Salamanca - Will Wellington win again?
* Memoir 44 - 6mm WW2 - Germans vs Allies
* Red Alert - The Commonwealth takes on the evil Empire
* Battle of Hoth - Can the Rebels escape from Vader?
* Lord of the Rings - Isildur tries to keep the Ring
Entry is free for League Members and $5 for non-members.
As always, the RSL has great food available for lunch and an open bar.
