Why Do the Events of 1989 in Czechoslovakia Still Matter in Today's Global Shifts?

We would like to invite you to a debate with renowned historian Professor Timothy Garton Ash, who specializes in contemporary history of Europe and will be speaking about the events of 1989 in former Czechoslovakia and their current importance.

The debate will take place on October 10, 2025, at 11 a.m. in room P300 (Faculty of Arts building, Náměstí Jana Palacha 1), and will be chaired by doc. Matěj Spurný.
