Samostatnou výstavu v Karpuchina Gallery Sabina Knetlová věnuje sochařsky nesnadno uchopitelnému tématu změny. Dává mu pevnou materiální formu a z betonu šedého, defaultního odstínu formuje bytosti antropomorfních a zoomorfních druhů, jejichž neurčité identity částečně konkretizují až gesta paží, dlaní a tlap. Nicméně vždy pouze v míře, abychom vytušili, že vstupují, nebo snad chtějí vstoupit do vztahu. Do vztahu k místu, kde je cosi jinak, proměnivší se a nadále se proměňující.
Sama autorka se v tomto směru odkazuje k pocitu, který jí přinesla změna působiště. Její metaforické sochařství lze však stejně tak dobře vztáhnout k širšímu civilizačnímu kontextu, pro který je pocit změny, tohoto mnohdy zneklidňujícímu vědomí, nevyhasínajícím motorem snahy se této situace dotknout, ohmatat ji a uchopit.

𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗞𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗮́ (*1996, Jaroměř; žije a pracuje v Ostravě) je česká sochařka mladé generace, která propojuje klasické sochařské principy se současným materiálovým myšlením. Pracuje především s betonem, sádrou a prefabrikovanými prvky, které kombinuje s organickými formami a měkkými materiály. Její tvorba byla prezentována na veletrzích Art Dubai (2025), Sofia Art Fair (2025, 2024), Vienna Contemporary (2024, 2022) či Contemporary Istanbul (2023) a na výstavách v Giudecca Art District (Benátky) a Czech Center Brussels. Samostatně vystavovala mimo jiné v The Chemistry Gallery, Karpuchina Gallery, DOT. Contemporary Art Gallery a Saigon Gallery. Knetlová ve svých sochách vytváří napětí mezi ručně modelovanou hmotou a industriálními komponenty. Tento dialog mezi gestem a strojem, citlivostí a brutalitou materiálu tvoří jádro jejího vizuálního jazyka.

In her solo exhibition at Karpuchina Gallery, Sabina Knetlová devotes her work to the sculpturally elusive theme of change. She gives this idea a solid, material form, shaping beings of anthropomorphic and zoomorphic nature from concrete—the gray, default shade. Their indeterminate identities are only partially clarified by the gestures of arms, hands, and paws, revealing just enough for us to sense that they are entering—or wish to enter—into a relationship. A relationship to a place where something has altered, where transformation has occurred and continues to unfold.
The artist herself refers to a feeling born from her own change of environment. Yet her metaphorical sculpture can equally be related to a broader civilizational context, in which the experience of change—often accompanied by an unsettling awareness—serves as an unextinguished driving force behind our desire to touch, explore, and grasp this ever-shifting state of being.

𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗞𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗮́ (1996, Jaroměř; lives and works in Ostrava) is a Czech sculptor of the young generation whose work connects classical sculptural principles with contemporary material thinking. She primarily works with concrete, plaster, and prefabricated elements, which she combines with organic forms and soft materials. Her work has been presented at Art Dubai (2025), Sofia Art Fair (2025, 2024), Vienna Contemporary (2024, 2022), and Contemporary Istanbul (2023), as well as at exhibitions in the Giudecca Art District (Venice), Art Depot in Innsbruck and Czech Center Brussels. She has held solo shows at The Chemistry Gallery, Karpuchina Gallery, DOT. Contemporary Art Gallery, and Saigon Gallery.
