Finally announcing what Arman Kupelyan (@kekelzpekel666) and I (Taro Troupe, @tarotroupe) have been preparing for the last few months!
Starting in November we will have a series of 10 workshops of Physical Theatre, around the topics of 'Physical Theater Basics' and 'Physical Comedy/Introduction to Clown'.
The workshops will be taught to a closed group, every Sunday from 23rd of November to 1st of February.
___
Step into the world of Physical Theatre in this dynamic workshop, designed to unlock your creative potential and enhance the expresivity of your body. Whether you're a seasoned performer or new to the stage, this workshop will guide you through the essentials of physical storytelling.
What to Expect:
- Movement exploration and theatrical basics: Discover how your body can convey emotions, ideas, and characters, using physicality as your main tool of expression. We will work on 'pre-expresivity', as a previous step before embodying a character or persona.
- Games, group exercises and Improvs: Participate in exercises that build group dynamics, foster creativity, and sharpen your physical awareness.
- Finding comicness and authenticity: Explore how humor naturally emerges from our bodies and personalities through contemporary clown techniques. We will use our vulnerability, imperfection, playfulness and silliness as tools to create and maintain connection with the audience and generate comedy through being an honest version of ourselves.
- Creation process: get in touch with tools to generate material without the goal of producing a final performance, but rather to enhance personal discovery.
