Persuasion by Jane Austen

Persuasion is the most passionate of Jane Austen's novels. Her final fully formed novel before her health began to decline. We read about Ann Elliot a sensible, warm heroine who is 'past her bloom' (28 years old) and her relationship with Wentworth.

The plot takes us through our positions in society, how others influence us and how that might be against our human instincts, in this incredibly funny novel.
