Bouřlivá rock’n’rollová smršť kalifornských Osees po necelé dekádě znovu míří do Prahy
Osees jsou aktuální inkarnací projektu založeného Johnem Dwyerem v druhé polovině devadesátek, dříve známého jako OCS, Thee Oh Sees anebo Oh Sees. Svůj nezaměnitelný garážový punk rock plný temné psychedelie a zběsilých rytmů kapela v průběhu let zvěčnila na více než dvou desítkách alb.
Na tom nejčerstvějším, loňské experimentální řadovce SORCS 80, upouští od kytar ve prospěch analogových synťáků, sampleru a zkreslených saxofonových linek. Na pozadí sci-fi estetiky inspirované Dwyerovým raným dětsvím nová deska reflektuje témata důvěry, zrady a odcizení, a to skrze typicky nekompromisní, divoký zvuk a úderné texty. Osees s novou deskou otřesou MeetFactory v pondělí 4. srpna.

After nearly a decade, the rock'n'roll explosion of California's Osees is heading back to Prague
Osees are the current incarnation of a project founded by John Dwyer in the second half of the nineties, formerly known as OCS, Thee Oh Sees or Oh Sees. Their singular garage punk rock sound full of dark psychedelia and frenetic rhythms has been released on over two dozen albums over the years.
Their most recent, 2024's SORCS 80, sees the band dump guitars altogether in favor of analog synths, samplers and distorted saxophone. With a sci-fi aesthetic inspired by Dwyer's early childhood, the new record reflects on themes of trust, betrayal and alienation through a typically wild, vigorous sound and powerful lyrics. Osees are coming to MeetFactory on Monday, August 4.
