Natalia Różycka (1998, Łódź – Poland) is a Polish artist whose current work focuses on the history of naturist sites in Poland and Prague, and how their character has transformed up to the present day. Her residency at Světova 1 allowed Natalia to further explore the environment of these sites in Prague and confront them with her ongoing research.

In her practice, Natalia explores the boundaries between intimacy, desire, and social norms. She captures these themes through the technique of painting on plexiglass, inspired by the aesthetics of stained glass and the queer history of her hometown Łódź. In doing so, she seeks to portray queer micro-communities, fleeting moments of closeness, and small rituals that help her define her own space as a queer woman.

The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
