Lunchmeat Festival 2025 begins with the traditional two-show spectacle at CAMP, with two performances in collaboration with festival Mutek Montreal.
Baron Lanteigne and Seulemnt, both Canadian multi-disciplinary artists currently investigating the boundary line between the human and the machine, will grace the 24x4m projection surface with performances specifically redesigned for the inimitable space.
▞ Baron Lanteigne
Exploring the lines of ambiguity between human memory systems and synthetic recollection, between the body and the machine, Canadian artist Baron Lanteigne’s audiovisual performance ‘hard data / soft bodies’ is inherently generative in nature. An open system exploring vulnerability and spontaneity in imperfect improvisation, the creator’s body, every gesture, is on level footing with the mechanical processes of his installation.
▞ Seulement
Seulement is the solo project of Tiohtià:ke/Montréal-based electronic musician and audiovisual artist Mathieu Arsenault. ‘Bricolage Architecture’ questions the imperfections of the human body in this era of technological perfection, integrating and transmogrifying human voice and gesture in a tactile dialogue between stop-motion animation, featuring handcrafted cut-outs, and live modular synthesis.
