Ghostwoman is a duo consisting of Evan Uschenko and Ille van Dessel. The atmosphere they conjure is one of hypnotic spells, where psych-grunge and decaying Americana entwine.

What began as a private outlet—scraps of music shaped in isolation—gradually evolved into something darker, stranger, and far more urgent. They craft raw, intuitive music that follows feeling over form.
Their upcoming fourth album, 𝑊𝑒𝑙𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐶𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑧𝑒𝑑 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑 (2025), wasn’t made with an audience in mind. It was a necessary act, a work born of grief, frustration, and instinct. The songs feel lived-in and cracked open: distorted rhythms, haunted melodies, and a sense of barely held togetherness that feels more like a reaction to the world than a commentary on it.
The band's live performances are louder and harder than their recordings, extending and reinterpreting their songs with rock’n’roll fervour. Ghostwoman are coming to Fuchs2 for the first time on Friday, November 14.
