Zlom v jeho kariéře nastal s debutovým albem Müptezhel (2017), které se v Turecku téměř okamžitě stalo kulturním fenoménem. Nejenže deska bravurně spojuje rap s prvky reggae a trapu, ale také oslovila tureckou mládež díky svým textům, v nichž upozorňuje na socioekonomické problémy.
Ezhel se stal symbolem odporu a svobody projevu v Turecku a ve své hudbě bez obalu zachycuje realitu mladé generace. Jeho jméno dnes rezonuje daleko za hranicemi země a patří k nejvýraznějším postavám rapové scény.
