Tento výjimečný hudebník a cestovatel z Barcelony přináší na českou scénu svou hluboce osobní a hypnotickou hudbu, která propojuje prvky downtempa, soulu, reggae a dubu. Po letech putování Latinskou Amerikou a Afrikou, kde čerpal inspiraci a spojil se s místními hudebníky, vytvořil Alex jedinečný hudební svět, který otevírá brány do „Skutečného světa“ – prostoru za hranicí smyslů, kde hudba léčí, spojuje a probouzí.
Přijďte si poslechnout koncert, který není jen hudebním zážitkem, ale cestou dovnitř – k sobě samým.

Alex Serra je hudebník a badatel pocházející ze středomořského města Barcelona. Jeho debutové album In the Real World(2019) vzniklo jako výsledek inspirující čtyřleté cesty sebepoznání, která začala v roce 2012 a vedla ho přes Latinskou Ameriku až do Jižní Afriky. Tam se setkává s hudebníky z různých hudebních prostředí, jejichž vlivy prostupují jeho tvorbou a dávají jí jedinečnou a obnovující energii.
V roce 2014 Alex přistává v Kapském Městě (Jižní Afrika), kde se setkává s hudebníkem Yannickem Meyerem, s nímž vytváří hluboké bratrské pouto. Společně zakládají projekt afrického psychedelického popu s názvem Native Young a spojují se s marimbovou kapelou z městských částí Gugulethu, Kayelitsha a Philippi. Tato kulturní a hudební lidská zkušenost zásadně mění jeho život a inspiruje ho k objevování vlastního hudebního vesmíru po návratu domů v roce 2016.
Po návratu do Barcelony se Alex spojuje s Totidubem (Toti Arimany), vynikajícím producentem dubu, který se stává klíčovým prvkem při vytváření zvukové krajiny tohoto alba. Společně tvoří kolekci skladeb, které se dotýkají různých žánrů – downtempo, soul, reggae, dub – a navozují u posluchače stav vnitřního naslouchání. Texty směřují k „Skutečnému světu“, místu za hranicemi našich omezených smyslů, kde prostor a čas přestávají existovat tak, jak je známe.

After years of traveling through Latin America and Africa, where he drew inspiration and connected with local musicians, Alex has created a unique musical universe that opens the door to the “Real World” – a realm beyond the senses where music heals, connects, and awakens.

BIO
Alex Serra is a musician and explorer from the Mediterranean city of Barcelona. His debut album, In the Real World (2019), was born from an inspiring four-year journey of self-discovery that began in 2012 and took him from Latin America to South Africa. There, he met musicians from diverse musical backgrounds whose influence permeates his work, giving it a distinctive and rejuvenating energy.
In 2014, Alex landed in Cape Town, South Africa, where he met musician Yannick Meyer. They formed a deep brotherly bond and created a psychedelic African pop project called Native Young, joining forces with a marimba band from the townships of Gugulethu, Khayelitsha, and Philippi. This rich cultural and musical experience profoundly changed his life and inspired him to explore his own musical universe upon returning home in 2016.
Back in Barcelona, Alex connected with Totidub (Toti Arimany), an outstanding dub producer who became a key contributor in shaping the sonic landscape of the album. Together, they crafted a collection of tracks that touch on various genres – downtempo, soul, reggae, dub – evoking a state of inner listening in the audience. The lyrics point toward the “Real World,” a place beyond the limits of our senses, where space and time cease to exist as we know them.
