Join us for NEARA’s annual symposium on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the historic Methodist Church in Powhatan Historic State Park. This year’s theme, This Old Place: The History of Local Landmarks in Northeast Arkansas, highlights the architectural treasures that are part of Arkansas State Parks.

Presentations will be led by:

• Zachary Elledge, Park Interpreter, Powhatan Historic State Park
• Angela Gibbs, Park Curator, Jacksonport State Park
• Bonnie Marberry, Park Interpreter, Davidsonville Historic State Park

This free event offers a unique opportunity to explore the stories behind some of northeast Arkansas’ most significant landmarks. Refreshments will be provided.
