Annual Nanny-and-Me End-of-Summer Potluck and Paint Fight!

I started having paint fights at the end of the summer with my nanny kids over a decade ago. It started with small paint fights in the backyard with the kids I worked with...and slowly it transformed year by year into a potluck cookout in my backyard that included previous nanny families and other nannies and kids we did playdates with.

Now, we have officially outgrown my backyard and our community has grown to include The Heart State Nanny Agency families and nannies! We are so thrilled to have the opportunity to share this end-of-summer tradition with the growing nanny community that we serve and work with here in Columbus.

So please join us for a very messy day of fun, community, and memory-making!

PAINT FIGHT INFO: We will start the paint fight at 11am

-Wear something that can get dirty -- trust us it will get dirty! (white and black show the color really well)

-Wear cheap sunglasses or goggles to avoid getting paint in the eyes.

-Wear sunscreen! We're nannies so safety first!

-Wear a hat or cap if you don't want to be washing colors out of your hair for days!

-Wear shoes that you can run in easily or go barefoot! Flip flops are a sprained ankle in waiting!

-Wear a swimsuit under your paint fight clothes! We are hoping to have reusable water balloons to help wash the color off after the fight!

-Bring a towel, baby wipes, a trashbag with a head and arms cut out... whatever you want to do to mitigate mess on the way home!

POTLUCK INFO: We will eat around 1:00

-As always we will provide hotdogs, hamburgers/cheeseburgers, and veggie burgers and drinks (soda, water, juice)

-Please bring a side, a snack, or a dessert to share. We will not have access to a fridge so plan accordingly if you need a cooler.

-Please label/list the ingredients in all dishes for allergens (please do NOT bring any bananas due to a severe known banana allergy)

Who's Invited: The whole family! We would love to see our nanny families, our nannies, and our nannies' families join us for this fun filled day! Please just let us know to expect you so we can plan accordingly for paint supplies and food!
